Timber Products are vacuum pressure pre-treated in our own facilities using Tanalith E wood preservative, which provides a durable and long lasting
protection against the threat of wood decay and insect attack. This unique
formulation product
is based on a combination of copper and triazole technology
and provides the very best protection available, particularly for ground contact
timbers.

Timber use Classes of Preservatives
The level of preservative treatment given to timber is varied according to
the Use Class (BS EN 335) situation that the timber is exposed to during its
life. Generally, a greater degree of protection is required as the Use Class
increases. Tanalised E treated timber is suitable for all the main Use
Classes1-4. See table above.
Tanalith
E pressure treated timber has an initial natural green colouration. Upon
external exposure, the green colour slowly weathers to a warm, honey brown and
in the longer term becomes a natural silver grey.

Wood is a beautiful building material; it is attractive, natural and extremely
versatile. The modern home and garden can be transformed with the multitude of
timber products available today. However, wood can be a source of food for decay
fungi & certain species of insects. So it needs protecting with modern
preservative systems. The best and most durable protection is achieved by
industrially applied preservative pressure pre-treatments.
